The NPR culture is made up of the creative contributions of more than 800 employees all across the globe. We’ve got reporters and bloggers, artists and writers. To keep us grounded and on schedule, we’ve also got editors and executives, lawyers and accountants.
The NPR employees, or ‘Nippers’, as we sometimes call ourselves, come from all walks of life. Some of us having been listening to NPR since we were buckled in the backseat of our parents’ car. Others have been all over the world, worked in a variety of industries but have recently discovered the value of public media in their everyday lives. Some of us have cut our teeth at one of our Member Stations, perhaps even yours.
This diverse team comes together behind a common goal: to create a more informed public. We believe in this mission, but also that curiosity and collaboration is the only way to achieve it.
