*Simmons College of Kentucky was founded in 1879 and is the nation’s 107th (HBCU) Historically Black College and University.

Simmons College of Kentucky is a small, urban campus, located in the heart of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Simmons’ historic campus, built by formerly enslaved people in 1879, is a campus where history, faith, learning and life come together. Jump in a car or bus, and you are within a few hours from Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Nashville, Asheville, Atlanta and other exciting destinations.
